The recent spotlight on Building Commission focussed on kickbacks that allowed corrupt registration of builders who were not properly qualified. That’s why our building standards have been corrupted and many of our buildings look like they have been built in a third world country (because in many cases they have been built by third world country builders) However that is not all. There is acute shortage of building inspectors and building surveyors and there are two reasons for this:
