This is what I found today. Structural roof brace was cut by contractor to access roof space. He did not care and did not care to tell the builder. If I was the builder on the job I would have sacked him on the spot, got him off the site and I would  have torn up his invoice never to pay him.

The builder now has to remove tiles from finished roof, replace the brace and repair cut insulation.

It’s tough being the builder because you can’t watch everyone all the time and the people that you employ and pay will do that to you.

I explained to my client that in this case builder was the victim of a rogue contractor
