I regularly find that vendors try to pass of termite damaged homes as renovated homes to unsuspecting purchasers. Visible damage is replaced and the whole thing dressed up as a legit reno. If you don’t get a competent pre purchase inspection you could fall for it because you probably don’t know what to look for and how to find evidence of prior termite damage. Treatment notices that by law are required to be displayed in prominent position are regularly removed by vendors because “they don’t want you to know”. Here is another one:
If you think that is bad then I will tell you that there were other equally serious issues with this property. So if you believe that a nicely renovated home does not need a pre purchase inspection, or because it is on a concrete slab it does not need one, then you might as well believe in fairies.
